Get Personalized Service from Our Family-Focused Precision Machine Shop

We never intended to be an “artsy-craftsy” business, but in the early days of building our precision machine shop, we took whatever work we could get. One such project was a beautiful hardwood floor inlay—a warm, handmade design featuring trees and hills.

Almost two decades later, we’re no longer crafting inlays, but this project still stands as an unlikely testament to the passion and purpose behind Accurate CNC Services.

Like any business, we need customers and income. But what drives us is rooted deep in our commitment to family, unwavering pursuit of excellence, genuine passion for people, and the breathtaking northwestern hills of our home in Hayden, Idaho.

Here’s how we grew the seed of a small business dream into a thriving precision machine shop providing exceptional CNC routing, laser cutting and part marking, production and prototype machining, acrylic bending, welding, anodizing, powder coating, and assembly services.

Growing a Family Business: Our All-American Story

“We gotta get one of these!”

With those words, Accurate CNC Services was born.

Our dad, Don Stinson, had fallen in love with a CNC router at the local aerospace company where he worked, and he couldn’t stop imagining what else could be done with the versatile machine. Call her supportive; call her crazy; but our mom, Heike, absorbed his enthusiasm. Before long, they’d invested in a commercial workspace and purchased their first CNC router, a beast of a machine that they affectionately named FatMan.

It’s been nearly 20 years since Mom and Dad launched their precision machine shop with a single CNC router, first taking on overflow aerospace work for Dad’s former employer, next crafting hardwood floor inlays, and eventually acquiring a cabinet division for manufacturing speaker cabinet parts.

“It’s been a hoot,” Dad tells people. “Every job is different. There’s no repetition to it, and it’s always new.”

So we came by our love of manufacturing honestly—”we” being Don and Heike’s firstborn daughter Sydney, and son, Taylor. A moody teenager when Accurate CNC Services was born, Sydney is now the company’s Chief Administrative Officer. And Taylor, a precocious seven-year-old when the business was launched, currently holds a Co-CEO title alongside our dad. Our mom, Heike, is Accurate CNC Services’ CFO. And Bear and Fiona, our furry family members, do what dogs do: whatever the heck they want.

You don’t get more “family business” than that.

The Fundamental Differences of Working with a Family Business

Accurate CNC Services is more than a job shop for us. Every member of our small team is an extension of our family, and every customer benefits from our highly personalized approach to service.

You may come to us for machining, fabrication, or assembly, but you’ll leave with an incredible product and the knowledge that we care about you as a human being making your way in the world.

Your project matters, no matter the size or scope

You’ll never be just another purchase order at Accurate CNC Services. We’re invested in you and your business, and we’re grateful that you’re part of our journey.

We recognize that every project we accept has a human being behind it, and we strive to exceed your expectations with our attention to detail, from our first conversation until the day we deliver your order—regardless of how much money you’re spending with us.

We know: even the smallest job can have a tremendous impact.

You get access to our team when you need it

We’re here for you anytime you need to connect—even on Fridays when our shop is officially closed. You’ll have our precision machine shop’s cell phone number so you can call or text with questions or concerns—or simply to brainstorm your next big idea.

We know you respect our time and professionalism, and we offer you that same courtesy and care. Working collaboratively with every customer enables us to provide the personalized service you deserve.

Your needs are unique, so our services are, too

Need us to inventory some of your product to reduce lead times? Done.

Need your product packaged in a specific order to streamline processing? We’ve got your back.

Need weekly inventory reports so you can stay on top of your purchasing needs? Not a problem.

Need a cost-cutting solution? We’ll help you identify your options for materials and processes that ensure high-quality results that won’t break the bank.

And if an issue arises, we’ll drop what we’re doing, fix the problem, and take the necessary steps to ensure we won’t make the same mistake again.

When You Work with Accurate CNC Services, You Work with People Who Care

The reality is that some shops achieve fantastic success but don’t uplift the people around them. We prefer to stay positive, and we’re committed to spreading and sharing our success to better our community and our country.

At Accurate CNC Services, you’re guaranteed American-made parts and products crafted by skilled professionals who are well-paid and welcomed as family. (Our mom begins each workday by personally greeting each team member face-to-face, eye-to-eye.)

If you also value kindness, collaboration, and quality, we would love to work with you!

Whether we’re building cabinetry or spacecraft; whether we’re working with plastic, metal, or wood; we give you and your project premium attention and authentic care.
