Internal Standards for Superior Quality
“Quality” can mean something different to everyone. The interpretation depends largely on an individual’s familiarity with the job and which factors matter most to them.
In our Idaho machine shop, we strive to exceed our customers’ quality needs—whatever they may be—by applying an additional layer of quality standards: our own.
In-house quality processes
These in-house quality assurance processes are documented alongside the standard work instructions for every part we produce, ensuring we hold each part to the same high standards.
We improve the appearance and longevity of parts by deburring every edge
We remove dust and fingerprints by thoroughly washing and cleaning every part before it’s packaged for delivery
We prevent in-transit damage by neatly bagging, tagging, and boxing parts for secure shipping

Rapid-response problem-solving
Though we strive for perfection, mistakes do happen. When an error is brought to our attention, we drop everything to correct the problem.
What happened? Why did it happen? Are other parts affected as well?
Along with addressing the immediate problem, we dig deeper to identify the root cause of the issue. Certain problems are part-specific, but others may stem from an internal issue that we need to repair to prevent future challenges.
Lastly, we reinspect every single part in the problem order. We won’t ship your order until we’re confident we’ve resolved every issue.
Inspection Processes in our Idaho Machine Shop
When it comes to quality, we don’t believe in “good enough.” That’s why our in-house inspector holds every part to the same rigorous standards required for aerospace parts.
Our certified inspection equipment performs precise readings down to 0.0001”—that’s 50 times smaller than a human hair! And we recalibrate these inspection tools regularly for optimum accuracy.
Mid-machining inspections
For parts with critical tolerances, we perform a partial inspection before the parts have even left the machine. Our precision machining equipment is equipped with probe systems that provide highly accurate measurements, allowing us to catch any issues early in the manufacturing process. These measurements are passed over to our inspection department when the parts are ready for quality assurance.
Final inspections
When it’s time for a final inspection, the inspector evaluates the parts against the dimensions on the customer’s drawing. For an order of 500 parts, for example, the inspector commonly selects one part out of every 10 to inspect.
From measurement discrepancies to rough edges, our inspector never hesitates to return an order to our precision machining team for corrections or cleaning.
